Fun in a Box!

Anamarie and Brett love to watch for the "Mailbox Man" to see what fun things he has brought for the Heiner Family. But on occasion the "other Mailbox Man" (UPS) will bring big boxes with fun stuff inside. They don't really care too much about the contents of the box, but the box itself. This time they were fascinated by the packaging peanuts because they could shred them into snowflakes while sitting inside the box. The small and simple things that make us happy :)

John Buckner's Birthday Bash!

John turned 39 on May 13th, and we all celebrated this night with him at Tipanyaki's Japanese Steak House; one of our favorites :) We just love hanging out with them, and it's nice that John is not traveling anymore so we can see more of him and Dia. John managed to get some cool pictures of everyone too. After dinner, we headed back to their house for cake and icecream. I even managed to capture a little video of him blowing out his candles. James & Anne Jensen, Russ & Cyndi Lowry, Bill & Emily Thresher, Matt & Melissa Brady, Brady & I, & John & Dia hung out that night. It was a great night.

CRAZY Hair Day!! (more like cute hair day)

For the entire month of May, Anamarie has something fun & creative to do for Preschool. On this day it was "Crazy hair day" and she wanted me to spray her hair with bright orange hair spray and put in into 3 crazy buns. I must say, she looked very cute and not so crazy, that I think I will do her hair like this for Church someday :)

Strike a Pose!

Anamarie & I were desperate for something to do while we waited at the Costco photo lab, so Anamarie did was she does best, and entertained everyone. She headed for the sunglasses and tried almost every pair on, and naturally posed every time. With her constant posing for the camera, she may have a future career in modeling or acting someday.

Family Night at Cabela's

This was one of our favorite family nights so far. We went to Cabela's with the whole family for the first time, and I must say I was completely amazed with this store. From the fish aquarium tunnel to the African animals this place was like a museum. One of the highlights for the kids was feeding the fish and shooting the targets. Brett found a little paddle boat that he jumped right into. The kids also enjoyed walking through the massive sized tents that were all setup with cot beds, sleeping bags and all the outdoor accessories; the perfect outdoor experience. On our way to do target shooting on the second level, as we passed a large display of footballs Brett saw them and jumped out of the stroller to get one. He was very sad when we didn't buy it for him. Anamarie also saw a large display of stuffed animals and wanted the little white doggie; and once again we didn't buy it :( The kids loved this place and we will definitely be going back soon.

William is finally crawling at 10 months old.

FINALLY! William starts crawling at 10 months old. He is definitely off track with his other siblings when it comes to a lot of things; especially crawling. All the other 4 Heiner babies started crawling at 7 months old. William has been a lazy baby who is content just sitting still being the "baby". Now, he's cruising!

Taylor advances to a LIFE Scout!

Taylor was excited to advance to a Life Scout at the last Court of Honor. He has earned almost all the required merit badges for his Eagle Scout as well. If everything goes smooth, he should have his Eagle Scout in the next 6 months. Great Job Taylor & his awesome Scout Master!!

Anamarie first Soccer Practice

Anamarie experienced playing soccer this year for the first time. Her team met at the Filly Park across from the American Fork Rec. Center for their first practice. She had a great time kicking the ball and scoring goals, but her highlight was pausing all soccer related things so she could sneak in another pose for me while I took pictures. Her coach was even trying to talk to her and she completely ignored him to pose for another shot. Anamarie and her good friend Ava also posed for another shot. Her coach is Tyler Shelly and I am the Team Mom. It's been so cute to see her do something new.
