Brett scared of water

Brett's was so afraid of the wide open Bear Lake water. The first day there, he was scared that the boats were going to float away, so he became our "Beach Patrol" boy. Anything that was touching the water, he moved far away from danger. This video is a perfect clip of his paranoid behavior :)

Lovey Brothers!!

It melted my heart to see my two little guys in the back seat holding hands. We were on our way back from our Bear Lake trip and they were so tired and fighting to stay awake. It's the cutest video!!

Kids at the Splash Park

We met Kim & Janise at the splash park by their house in Alpine for dinner. Brady was on a business trip so I packed up all the kids to go play and have a picnic in the park. This hidden park that only the locals know about, is quite amazing. The splash park, the acres of playing field, the running/biking track, the many playground areas, tennis & basketball courts, and multiple picnic benches and grills. We will definatly frequent this park this summer. Brett & Anamarie loved the splash park the best. Brett kept saying "I am gonna shoop (shoot) that water gun". After the water turned off at 8 pm the kids played on the playset and ran in the field. Anamarie found a group of men who were launching water balloons and convinced them to let her try. They helped her as she lauched the ballons about 100 yards; she was so proud. Taylor, Madison & Kim had fun throwing the football to eachother. They made it into a game by seeing how many times they could catch it without letting it drop; 26 times was their record. William was busy crawling around being a busy boy. What a great night!

Laughy Baby!!

Babies are easily entertained. William had so much fun dropping this heart shaped rock on the couch and watching it bounce; he thought it was the funniest thing ever, and even more funny when daddy "accidentally" dropped it. The simple joys in life.

William at 13 Months old

I was testing out my new 55mm  f 1.8 Nikon lens on my little William, and I was amazed with the clarity and how well it picked up the dirt and grime on his face, but especially the bright blue eyes.

William's Happy Place

William is obessessed with the "Man Throne".  I can't count the number of toilet paper rolls that have been destroyed these past months. He loves playing in it, throwing toys in it, pretends he's washing it with the toilet brush, and just making a mess in it. Makes me sick to think about it.

Happy 4th of July

We had a great 4th of July with family & friends at the Val Vista Park (across the street) in the Lowry's backyard for a picnic dinner. Brett & Anamarie loved the sparklers. I realized I didn't take any pictures of Taylor & Maddy because they were off playing with friends. However, I took tons of William & Kolby together. After our dinner we headed to Thanksgiving Point with the whole Heiner/Whimpey fam watch the "real" fireworks...Brett was so happy.

A few weeks prior, our family watched the Cedar Hills fireworks from Taylor's bedroom window. Brett was so fascinated with fireworks that for 30 minutes straight all he said was "I wanna go fireworks...I wanna go fireworks!" (repeated over, and over). It was so cute, at first but quickly turned to annoying after 20 minutes.
So when the 4th of July came, I knew it was time to go see the fireworks...just for Brett.
