Brett's Favorite Book about "du-du's"
Most kids sleep with blankets or teddy bears, but Brett sleeps with his favorite book. He loves this book, and for one reason only; the trucks on page 8. This counting book represents each number with images, and on page 8, there are pictures with 8 trucks which he calls "Du" or "du-du". He won't let me turn the page, so we sit there and stare at the "du-du's" for 10 minutes, before he decides he needs to sleep with this book each night.

William at 1 Month
William is looking a little chubby with his double chin! He gained 2 pounds by the time he was 3 weeks old. Weighing in at 9 lbs. 3 ounces, and 21.5 inches long!! Dr. Spencer was very surprised that he had gained so much in such a short amount of time. He said typicall babies are back to there birth weight at 2 weeks, so it's good if they are gaining extra weight.

Winter Wonderland in the Food Storage room
Yes, this is my life with 5 children, and yes, that is a 50 pound bag of flour. Brady tried to convince me to stay in bed most of the day so that I could recover from this uterus infection that I have, and I told him there is no way I could possibly do that with Anamarie and her little side kick Brett. Lately, Anamarie has been teaching Brett all her dirty tricks. As you can see she taught him the ultimate trick of all; the flour sandbox. Anamarie told me that her and Brett were going to the basement to play in the "playroom", but I guess they took a little detour through the food storage room. I could hear some commotion going on down stairs so I asked Maddy to go check on them. A few seconds later I could hear Maddy yelling at the kids to open the door. As she caught them in action they took off running to the basement bathroom and quickly locked the door; Anamarie of course. After a few minutes of her negotiating with them, they finally opened the door and ran back to their fun. Madison, completely frustrated, yells at me to "get downstairs now". I ran down took one look at both of them, and my first response put me into shock that I bursted into laughter. I tried to stop laughing; but I couldn't. In the 13 years of being a mom, I had never seen anything so shocking. Taylor & Madison never did anything close to this. Between breaths of laughter I told Maddy to go get my camera. Madison, who was totally confused with my reaction to all of this, reluctantly retrieved the camera, and I managed to snap some priceless picture that will make me smile for many many years. After cleaning up the kids, (which took about an hour because wet flour is like cement in hair), I asked Anamarie why she did that. She said because it was fun, it was like a sandbox. I tried explaining to her that our sandbox is outside and that she made a huge mess. I don't think she got it. Who cleaned that huge mess?? Maddy. She volunteered. An hour later she wished she didn't. The fun never ends;)
