Crazy Bed Head!

Brett woke up this morning with the most interesting hair-do. It was so funny that It wouldn't go down all day; so I left it like this just for laughs from everyone who looked at him.

Madison's 11th B-day!

What a great day for Madison! She woke up to her favorite breakfast in bed: sausage, eggs, donunts, yogurt, chocolate milk & a banana. She also received her first 2 presents that morning which were; shorts and a shirt. She was very surprised when I showed up at her school with 3 dozen glazed donuts for her class. I also had bought her and Kaysha subway sandwiches and we stayed in the classroom and ate together with her teacher. We also had a big night planned for Madison. We went to JCW's as a family and headed over to the Thanksgiving Point Theaters to see Alice in Wonderland in 3D. It was a great movie and Brett and Anamarie were perfect little angels the entire movie. Besides our family other came along too. Kolby, Grammy Linda, and Grammy Eldean joined us at the movie. It was more than she expected!

Brett & Anamarie's photo shoot

Brett & Anamarie had the opportunity to get their pictures done by Jami Edman; Images by Jami Photography. She and another friend got together and put on this photo shoot where 100% of the proceeds went to an orphnage in Ghana. So of course I had to take advantage of this one. Anamarie is always so photogenic but Brett was not going to smile for anyone; as you can see. He had such attitude that day, but his pictures still turned out adorable.

Best Valentines Ever!

Brady was really creative this Valentines day. It was an all day event with SLC Temple, Park City for shopping, and dinner at Ruth's Chris. However, we didn't get to the Temple that night, but we did do everything else. As we started our date Brady opened the car door for me with a rose and a love note on my seat. It was so sweet and I really appreciated his creativity. We had a nice drive to Park City and by the time we got there we only had an hour before our dinner reservation to shop, so we quickly went to the Lucky store, and got some jeans for Taylor, and 2 shirts and some jeans for me; post baby of course. Then we went to Motherhood and bought me a new pair of maternity pants. Then to Calvin Klein to find some Cologne for Brady with no luck. We made a quick long walk back to the truck through the light snowfall. Brady opened my door for me, and to my surprise, there was another rose on my seat with a love note. It was so sweet and totally unexpected to have two roses. He was very sneaky to place the rose on the seat somehow without me seeing this. We arrived at Ruth's Chris at 6:00pm and had the most incredible dinner! Brady had the lamb chops and au gratin potatoes, and I had the 8 oz Fillet Mignon with au gratin potatoes. We also ordered a side of our favorite; creamed Spinach, and Calamari for an appetizer. When it was time to leave, we went outside to have our car returned to us from valet. Brady opened my door and just like before there was another rose with a love note on my seat. The night was perfect! So thought out, and creative. I loved it!!

Geek Squad Member

It didn't take Brett very long to discover the new work station in the office that I created for the kids. As I was busy working on my computer, I heard a little giggle and turned to see a very adventurous baby boy sitting in between the two laptops. Luckily, my camera was sitting on my desk and I snapped this picture! It couldn't have been more perfect!

Bedroom Buddies!

As Brady and I went to bed one night we were so happy to see all the Bedroom Buddies that magically appeared in our bedroom that night. We had put Anamarie to bed earlier and told her that her animals will keep her safe while she sleeps. That simple reminder must have set the wheels spinning in her head because she managed to design a great plan for mommy and daddy. She carefully and neatly transported every one of her stuffed animals into our bedroom to the foot of our bed...to keep us "safe". It was a very cute welcome!

It's a BOY!!

At 16 weeks of pregnancy, Brady and I had the opportunity to find out what we were having. We were very surprised to have an ultra sound so early; thank goodness for our friends mother who is our nurse. She really hooked us up big time. We weren't planning on it, but she was able to "sneak us in" early. Thanks Mirta.

Brett William Heiner's Birth

Our little guy was born on November 29, 2008 at 12:11am. He weighed 8 pounds 10 ounces and was 21 inches long. Born in the American Fork, Utah hospital by Dr. Bean from Valley OB-GYN.

Brett gave us quite a scare with his breathing problems when he first came out. Basically his oxygen was cut off during delivery so by the time he came out he really struggled to breathe properly. Unbeknownst to me, they frantically called in many respiratory therapist to help him, but after a few minutes they frantically took him away were they tried to give him oxygen through IV's. After about 10 failed attempts to get the IV in, they finally decided they would have to perform a small surgery by taking the IV tubing into his body through his umbilical cord opening, and weaving it past all his main organs to get to his heart where they permanently placed it for the next 24 hours. After that, his health immediately improved. He still had to stay in the NI CU for 24 hours. I finally got the chance to hold my baby 5 hours later.

Brady wrote all about our first 24 hours with Baby Brett in more detail. click here to read

Caught Maddy painting Taylor's nails

Madison was only 3 years old and Taylor was 5 when I caught them in my bathroom beautifying themselves. Madison put makeup on Taylor and herself, and painted his fingernails and toenails. Seems like forever ago when these 2 played together so well. As you watch the video, notice how content Taylor is during this whole ordeal.
